   Decide how you want to use it

   The fastest way to try it is in your web browser — nothing to install. For everyday use, an app on your phone or computer is smoother and gets you notifications.

   In a hurry? Open the web client and skip to step 3.

2. 02

   Install an app

   We have a short list of apps that work well with this server — one per platform, no guesswork.

   Change the homeserver to naryapeep.com

   This is the single most important step. When the app asks you to sign in or register, it will default to matrix.org. Look for an "Edit", "Change", or "Other" option near the server name and type in:

   naryapeep.com

   If you skip this step, your account will live somewhere else and you won't be on our server.

   Create your account

   Pick a username and password. Your address will look like @yourname:naryapeep.com — that's how other people on Matrix will find you, no matter what server they're on.

   An email address is optional but useful for password recovery.

5. 05

   Say hello

   Once you're in, our welcome bot will reach out to get you oriented and point you toward rooms you might like. Just reply — it's friendly.

   If you already know someone on Matrix, you can find them by their address (e.g. @friend:somewhere.com) and start a direct message.
